Firefox Addon (Extension) for Windows Live Writer - Live Writerfox
Blog it from Windows Live Writer.
Windows Live Writer is a new desktop application for composing blog posts to your blog service.
Usage
Currently the addon posts a page link or selected text to Windows Live Writer. You can access it from the context (right click) menu or the main menu.
To use it you need to have Windows Live Writer installed on your machine.

9 October 2006, 12:33 amThis works nicely - thanks for your work. (The version on mozilla.org is the version that doesn’t work with FF2.0 - I hacked mine to make it work but you might want to update it on there!)
Can I request that it takes a template for the post? I prefer doing target=”_blank” for my outgoing URLs, it’d be nice if this could do it automatically based on my chosen template… or something.

12 May 2007, 3:18 pmLove the plugin and use it extensively. But I’ve noticed that it drops the text in completely without formatting. Things like paragraphs and even apostrophes are stripped out.
Is this a setting in Live Writer, or something the plugin does?

I prefer to run portable apps, and currently run WindowsLiveWrite in a portable state (see http://www.techlifeweb.com/2007/09/08/windows-live-writer-portable-20-now-with-u3/). This, of course, breaks the extension. Is there a way to “hardwire” the extension so that it can use a custom installation path?

16 July 2008, 7:26 pmThe plug-in uses the standard API of Windows Live Writer. So this is an issue with windows live writer.
I think the API uses the registry for some work, maybe the portable versiuon should write some registry values as well ?
