Smallest 50 mm equivalent (35mm) lens on Leica T, Carl Zeiss Tessar 3.5 / 35 (Yashica T4 converted)
After seeing the new 50mm lens for Leica T, It looked a bit big, although we will yet to see for real hopefully soon.
This is the lens from my Yashica T4, and as you can see it is quite compact. As I mentioned on my previous post, I had the plan of converting to M mount to use on my camera, and here is the result.
The lens is very compact, it is not the fastest lens but it is definitely the smallest 50mm DOF lens that one can have on the T
I am still experimenting with the lens, more posts to follow, here is photo coming from the lens and camera.
The main disadvantages are the lens doesn’t have 6 bit encoding which you don’t know which aperture you have captured unless you remember it. And whether advantage or disadvantage all manual.
How versatile Leica T is!
